| As
a young girl, I knew that I would be an attorney. There have been
three factors that dramatically influenced the role I would eventually
come to serve in my law practice.
The
first factor would be my role as a single mother putting myself
through law school. I personally experienced how hard it is for
a single parent to juggle the role as a provider and a mother.
I have felt many of the same emotions that my clients experience
in their cases.
The
second factor would be my role as a wife and mother of two. I
have experienced the stress of married life trying to balance
the roles involved in married life. As a working mom, I understand
how difficult life can be.
The
third factor would be my involvement with our church and our Divorce
Care For Kids program. It has played a major role in the way that
I look at and handle divorce and custody cases. I have seen the
impact that my role as an attorney in the courtroom has on the
emotions of the children involved. I understand the hurt, rejection
and resentment that the kids often feel.
